Today, friends, we're about to let you in on a little secret. When we visit a property for inspection, one of the first things we do is collect measurements. Others in the industry don't always take this extra step, but we feel it's an important component of an efficient and accurate assessment. So what's our trick?
We use a state-of-the-art, lightning-fast laser beam!
That's right, folks. One of our handy tricks of the trade is our ability to calculate the exact measurements of a physical property lickity split. Using a high-tech laser beam, we can collect remarkably precise measurements of an 18-foot eave or a 300-foot wall faster than you can say "Star Trek!" (Seriously, it's that good!) Our clients are often surprised to learn about this high-tech tool.
So, how does it work? Using new-generation laser beams, we can calculate the exact dimensions of a physical property with amazing accuracy and speed. The equipment uses mini television screens to pinpoint targets with incredible precision.
So, what happens next?
We take the data collected with the laser beams and input it into our computer system. We can then generate a digital blueprint of the facility that documents the length of the walls, the height of the building and its interior uses. We can also identify special features, such as mezzanines.
Then, once we've entered all of the coordinates of the building, our software can calculate square footage with the click of a button. This is extremely helpful when we are computing and verifying the measurements of curved walls and more complex structures.
Of course, we have other tricks of the trade, too!
Many of our consultants use a portable, high-tech computer tablet when they are out in the field. This allows them to calculate and verify measurements on the spot. This technology is rather pricey, but we see it as an important investment. It allows us to provide the most accurate and efficient service to our clients.
Once all of this date is compiled, we are well on our way to having an accurate assessment analysis.
"This state-of-the-art equipment allows us to be the very best," Integrity CEO Gregg DuCharme says. "Although it is expensive, we want to invest in our people and our equipment so that we can best serve our clients and assessors. This technology is second-to-none when it comes to establishing fair, accurate and equitable assessments."
Home, Sweet Home!
The moving trucks have pulled away, and MOST of the boxes are unpacked. Now, we want to show off our lovely new office!
We're now located in Brotherhood Place Office Park near Smith Field Airport. (Enter the office park from Ludwig Road. We're the first driveway on the right.)
In the neighborhood? Stop in and say hello!
Meet Integrity

Rich, an account manager here at Integrity, says he looks forward to energizing our sales team. "My background and passion is sales."
When Rich is not hard at work, he loves to play golf and go boating. He also loves spending time with his two children, ages 12 and 17.
Incidentally, Rich's 17-year-old daughter, Shaina, works part-time at Integrity, as well. Shaina is a research assistant, and Rich says he loves being able to work alongside his daughter. "These opportunities will give her a great start in life," he says.
We welcome Rich and Shaina to the Integrity team!
